Inter-Institutional Science Fair on the theme “STEM for Viksat and Atamanirbhar Bharat” held at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala
Patiala: 28th October, 2025
Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala today organized Inter-Institutional Science Fair-2025 on the theme of ‘STEM for Viksat and Atamanirbhar Bharat’. The Science Fair serves as a platform for the students to display their creativity and scientific understanding about recent trends in Science and Technology. The event is designed to foster a culture of research, creativity, and problem-solving skills among the younger generation, ultimately contributing to the development and progress of our great nation.
This year more than 400 students from 26 schools and 7 colleges and other educational institutions participated in Science fair and presented their models and posters on the topics, ‘Environmental Challenges and their Mitigation’, ‘Emerging Trends in Science and Technology’, ‘Biotechnology and Human Welfare’, ‘Sustainable Agriculture’, ‘Space Science’, ‘Mathematics in Human Life’, ‘Chemistry for a Better World’, ‘Health and Hygiene’ and ‘Computers and Artificial Intelligence’.
Prof. Surindra Lal, member of the College Management Committee joined as Chief Guest In this Science fair and Dr. Ashok Kumar Malik, Department of Chemistry, Punjabi University, Patiala. Dr. Anup Thakur, Department of Physics, Punjabi University, Patiala. Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Department of Mathematics, Punjabi University, Patiala, Dr. Ranjeeta Bhari, Department of Biotechnology, Punjabi University, Patiala, Dr. Nipunjot Kaur, Department of Biotechnology, Khalsa College, Patiala, Dr. Nidhi Bansal, Department of Zoology, Public College, Samana, Dr. Inderpreet Singh Grover, Department of Chemistry, Public College, Samana, Dr. Rajinder Kaur, Department of Zoology, Govt. Mohindra College, Patiala, and Dr. Shivani, Dept of Physics, GCG, Patiala served as judges for various Models and Posters presentation competitions
Dr. Neeraj Goyal, Principal of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala while inaugurating the fair said, “Science and technology play a vital role in the development and progress of any nation. By promoting STEM education, we can equip our students with the skills and knowledge required to compete in the global arena. This Science Fair is an excellent platform for our students to showcase their scientific acumen, creativity, and innovative ideas, and we are confident that it will inspire them to pursue careers in STEM education and make a meaningful contribution to the development of our country.”
In the valedictory function the chief Guest Prof. Surindra Lal, Member of the Management Committee congratulated the participants and said that, “Science and technology are the engines of progress and development. It is imperative that we encourage our young minds to pursue STEM education and develop innovative solutions to the challenges facing our society. I congratulate Modi College for organizing this Science Fair and inspiring students to take up STEM education. I wish the students all the best and hope that this event will be a catalyst for their future endeavors.”
Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Prof. Jagdeep Kaur and Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, the coordinators of the Science Fair congratulated the winners and said that Science fairs are necessary to inculcate scientific temperament among the students.
Organizing secretaries of the event Dr. Varun Jain, Dr. Bhanvi Wadhawan, Dr. Santosh Bala and Dr. Kavita discussed the themes and subthemes of the fair with the students. They motivated the students to excel in their selected streams of Science and technology.

Poster Presentation – First position was won by Kashish and Noorpreet Kaur of Multani Mal Modi College Patiala and Second position was jointly bagged by Bhavjeet and Romal of Asian College, Patiala and Sanjana and Sanchita of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala.
Static Model Category – First position was won by Mansi and Jasleen of M.M.Modi College, Patiala and second position was jointly bagged by Pawalpreet and Navneet of Khalsa College, Patiala and Kashish and Noorpreet Kaur of Multani Mal Modi College Patiala.
Working Model Category- First position was won by Pankaj Goyal and Pallavi Thakkar of Multani Mal Modi College Patiala. The Second position was jointly bagged by Anmol and Ridhi Garg of Khalsa college, Patiala and Manjit Kaur and Kashvi Mangla of Government College for Girls, Patiala.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਦੀ ਸੁਚੱਜੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ‘ਵਿਕਿਸਤ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮ-ਨਿਰਭਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਲਈ ਸਾਇੰਸ, ਤਕਨਾਲੌਜੀ, ਇੰਜਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਸਾਬ’ ਦੀ ਮਹਤੱਤਾ ਤੇ ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਇੱਕ ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ਅੰਤਰ-ਸੰਸਥਾਗਤ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਮੇਲਾ-2025 ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਮੇਲਾ-2025 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਖੋਜਾਂ ਤੇ ਹਾਲੀਆ ਰੁਝਾਨਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਰਜਣਾਤਮਕ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਸਮਝ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਖੋਜ, ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਹੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਈਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਡੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਲਈ ਬੇਹੱਦ ਅਹਿਮ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਸਾਲ 26 ਸਕੂਲਾਂ 7 ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ 400 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ‘ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਾਤਮੇ’, ‘ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਭਰ ਰਹੇ ਰੁਝਾਨ’, ‘ਬਾਇਓਟੈਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਭਲਾਈ’, ‘ਟਿਕਾਊ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ’, ‘ਪੁਲਾੜ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ’, ‘ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਣਿਤ’, ‘ਇੱਕ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਲਈ ਰਸਾਇਣ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ’, ‘ਸਿਹਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਫਾਈ’ ਅਤੇ ‘ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਟੀਫੀਸ਼ੀਅਲ ਇੰਟੈਲੀਜੈਂਸ’ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਡਲ ਅਤੇ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ।

ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਮੇਲੇ ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।ਅਸੀਂ ‘ਸਾਇੰਸ, ਤਕਨਾਲੌਜੀ, ਇੰਜਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਸਾਬ’ ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਕੇ, ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਸ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇਹ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਸੂਝ, ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ‘ਸਾਇੰਸ, ਤਕਨਾਲੌਜੀ, ਇੰਜਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਸਾਬ’ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਅਰਥਪੂਰਨ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰੇਗਾ।”
ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਲਾਲ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ, “ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਦੇ ਇੰਜਣ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਦਿਮਾਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ‘ਸਾਇੰਸ, ਤਕਨਾਲੌਜੀ, ਇੰਜਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਸਾਬ’ ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਪੇਸ਼ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਤੇ ਹੱਲ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰੀਏ। ਮੈਂ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ‘ਸਾਇੰਸ, ਤਕਨਾਲੌਜੀ, ਇੰਜਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਸਾਬ’ ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਮੀਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
ਇਸ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਲਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੌਇਲ ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਾਮ ਤੇ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਟ ਤਕਸੀਮ ਕੀਤੇ।
ਇਸ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਆਰਡੀਨੇਟਰਾਂ ਡਾ. ਸੰਜੇ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜਗਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ. ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਮੇਲੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹਨ।
ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਡਾ. ਵਰੁਣ ਜੈਨ, ਡਾ. ਭਾਨਵੀ ਵਧਾਵਨ, ਡਾ. ਸੰਤੋਸ਼ ਬਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਕਵਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਪ-ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
